At Browning House we promote and assess parenting skills to ensure that children are safe and protected. The safety and well-being of the children is our primary focus. Families are referred to Browning House for an independent, comprehensive assessment.
We provide early intervention and support to parents to help them recognise the needs of their children through example and by using education, demonstration, positive encouragement and observation. Our aim is for each parent to achieve for their children the five outcomes set out in 'Every Child Matters'.
Babies and young children are full of potential. How that potential is realised depends on how the baby and later the child’s needs are met. This is fundamental to meeting the five outcomes of 'Every Child Matters'.
When the parent’s ability to care is in doubt, children need well-informed decisions to be made about their future. Parents, where there are serious worries, need the encouragement, support and the ability to explore their potential to nurture babies and young children. Our highly trained staff will provide comprehensive information that will enable important decisions to be made for the benefit of the child.
Browning House: is Ofsted regulated; is a registered charity with over 50 years' experience of working with vulnerable families; provides an objective, independent assessment to Children’s Services, Legal Services and the Courts.
