Browning House is located on Chapeltown Road, however the main entrance for visitors is towards the back of Chapeltown Road, off Cross Cowper Street.

From the M1

Take the sliproad for the M621 (Junction 43 on the M1) and then shortly turn off at Junction 7.  At the roundabout take the exit for the A61 (towards Harrogate) and continue for about three miles - you will pass the Royal Armouries Museum (right), go over the river and also pass the Bus station (left) on your way.

Shortly after you will then come to a major crossroads with signs overhead for the A61 (Harrogate), A58 (Wetherby and Roundhay) and Chapeltown - stay in this lane.  Go up Chapeltown Road for ¼ mile, passing the Leeds Contemporary School of Dance (right) and Holy Rosary Catholic Church (right).  Take the right on to Francis Street, and then the next left on to Cross Cowper Street to arrive at the main entrance of Browning House.

 

From the M62

Turn off at Junction 27 on the M62 and take the M621 sliproad.  Take the exit at Junction 2 (Harrogate/York), and turn left on the roundabout (A58).  About a mile down the road you will come to a large roundabout where you will turn off on to the inner ring road (A58/A64).  After going through two tunnels take the exit marked A61 (Harrogate), then follow the road down to the traffic lights.  Stay in the lane marked Chapeltown, then go up Chapeltown Road for ¼ mile, passing the Leeds Contemporary School of Dance (right) and Holy Rosary Catholic Church (right).  Take the right on to Francis Street, and then the next left on to Cross Cowper Street to arrive at the main entrance of Browning House.

 

From the A61 (North)

Follow the A61 down heading towards Leeds.  After passing through Moortown and Chapel Allerton take a right on to Potternewton Lane (B6159).  When this road joins on to Harrogate Road take a right on to Chapeltown Road then continue for ½ mile before turning left on to Cowper Street, then the first right on to Cross Cowper Street to arrive at the main entrance of Browning House.
