Child Protection Training

Browning House can deliver Child Protection Training that can improve the decision-making process through the NCAST Feeding and Teaching scales.  We offer individual places at our offices in Leeds, or alternatively we are flexible enough to deliver training at a time and venue to suit you.

Baby-Parent relationships - What is happening?

Browning House employs the only full-time NCAST trainer and practitioner in the UK.  The benefits of NCAST training include:

  • Improve the decision-making process by assessing and assisting the child-parent/carer relationship
  • Form a basis for intervention and care-planning that is highly sensitive and measures change
  • Provide a strong evidential base that can be used in Court

NCAST Feeding and Teaching assessment tools are uniquely placed to assess interactions between very young children and their parent/carer.  Training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to reliably observe and offer feedback/intervention to parents/carers.

For more information about the NCAST Child Protection Training please contact Moira Read on 0113 2379 936 or 077 607 707 38, or alternatively e-mail her at mread@browninghouse.org.uk.  For more information about NCAST please download our factsheet.

The cost a three day course is £550 per person, and includes all training materials and refreshments.
