A Viability Assessment consider the potential for the family to come to Browning House and whther the risk presented can be managed in a Residential setting.

There are 2 ways to undertake a viability assessment:

1. we could read the documentation and then if we felt it necessary have a short informal meeting with your client of approximately 1 hour during which the assessment process would be explained, following which we would provide a letter stating ‘yes we would offer assessment’ or ‘no we would not offer an assessment’, there would be a charge of £450 per half day for this.  Timescales for undertaking this will be given at the time of enquiry.
2. However if a fuller explanation of why we would or would not offer a placement was required we would need to undertake a full viability assessment for which a cost would be incurred.

Timescale & Fees

To undertake a full viability assessment we would require 10 working days to complete this, including the written report.  We will also need to meet with your client at Browning House during the first week (5 days).

Cost

£100 per hour reading time and report writing time.

£77 per hour to interview the parents, 2-6 hours will be required, dependant on the concerns to be explored and the parents ability.
