As we approach our 60th birthday at Browning House, we are looking to strengthen our services for safeguarding children. Browning House works to safeguard and protect the well-being of children by assessing, assisting and empowering their parents. We work to balance the needs of the parents with the need for child protection within the Government’s ‘Every Child Matters’ framework.

We are looking to recruit bank staff for Family Assessment Worker positions with experience of working with families and children, observing and recording family interactions and working with individuals/parents with mental health difficulties, perpetrators of domestic violence, drug/alcohol addictions and learning difficulties/disabilities.
The person appointed will work as an integral member of the staff team; they will provide support and supervision of parents, on-going observation and accurate record-keeping in order to contribute fully to the assessment process. They will be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work on their own initiative, initiate ideas and engage and work effectively and positively with families and children to achieve positive outcomes.
